Group vs. Membership

We are wanting to create either a group or a membership to keep track of our Carpenter's Club members. I have created a group and it was easy, however; it didn't give us the option to insert their payment level or amount. Would it be easier to create a membership or is there something in a group that I am missing?

We need to be able to have their contact information, level of donation,and amount of donation .

Hi Nikki,

I'm responding to this thread for the benefit of other users, even though we spoke about your options. :)

Creating a Group is the best way to go. Then create the custom data fields you want and associate them with the Contribution record, since the Carpenter's Club is a donation.
