Font Type & Size reset to default on re-edit

Postby maddys » Thu Apr 19, 2012 9:07 am

I'm testing the use of different fonts and text sizes to respond to some users requests to make pages easier to read.
Changing either or both of those features does take affect after saving the page but when I re-edit the same page the
text format reverts back to the default. Shouldn't they have remained set at the choices selected?

Be very careful about continually selecting content and changing font types, sizes and colors. Each time you do that, the system adds what are called span tags. These are HTML elements that allow the altering of styles. But they accumulate in the code and can have adverse effects.

Before changing font types, sizes, alignment, colors, etc., remove all formatting FIRST. To do this:

1. Select your text.
2. From the WYSIWYG editor, click the Remove Format button (located on the top row, third section, last button -- the icon looks like an eraser). This will clear out all prior formatting.
3. Now you can select your text and adjust settings.
