I added a user, but they can't administer anything.

I was able to create a user, and they can log in. But they can't see the Admin menu, and they can't really edit or do anything. I need to give them admin rights.

  1. Login
  2. From your Admin Menu at the top of the page, go to: User management -> Users
  3. Find the user in the list and click Edit to the right
  4. Assign a role to the user by selecting the appropriate Roles checkbox(es).

Please note: An 'Administrator' role exists with the power to do anything. Do not assign this role to random helpers or friends or neighbors. Only trusted folk should be given this level of power. Your subscription has been pre-populated with eight different roles or levels of permission. See a definition of each role here: http://www.gingerfeet.net/sites/www.gingerfeet.net/files/files/role_definitions.pdf (there are ten roles defined; the first two are the default roles for Drupal).
